Science and 3D-Printed Food Designed to Grow Before Your Eyes
Eindhoven-based food designer Chloé Rutzerveld’s Edible Growth project combines the inner workings of food development and design, sustainable food production, and 3d printing. She prints out a dough casing that contains edible soil that continues to sprout new growth and actual food as the seeds germinate. The experimental concept is ahead of the technology, which is more than 10 years away from mass production, but incredibly inventive in the meantime.
