Showcasing the World of Fancy Pigeons

Richard Bailey captures pigeons in a completely different light and we’re not just talking about the ones in the studio. The London-based photographer started the ‘Darwin’s Pigeons‘ project back in 2009 and has since featured over 50 species of the fancy kind. Inspired by George Stubbs’ majestic portrayal of horses, Bailey aimed to feature the different breeds and their unique characteristics in the same regal way through photography. From looking absolutely pompous to downright snooty, these pigeons have no problem showing their true colors.
