Star Wars Epitomized with Found Objects
Gabriel Dishaw upcycles leftover mechanical and metal items by creating one-of-a-kind Star Wars sculptures out of them. Describing himself as an “Up-cycler, Junk Artist, and a Sculptor,” Dishaw finds vintage and obsolete machines such as typewriters and check printing machines that would normally end up in a landfill and uses it as a way to express his passion for art. From Apple keyboard keys, computer chips, to flat speaker wires, the details and the clean lines of each sculpture are so precise that it’s hard to imagine that each are hand made. Star Wars memorabilia collectors will be delighted to know that each sculpture is available for purchase at his website.
