Stripping the Gluten Out of Images

We’ve been seeing gluten-free labels in the supermarket for a while now but what if that same label was slapped on non-food items? We’re talking about classical paintings, photographs, and just about everything else you can think of when you visit ‘The Gluten-Free Museum.’ The Tumblr page explores how big of a part the protein mixture found in wheat, barley, and rye play in images and how leaving it out alters some pictures minimally and may not even be missed while some completely changes the whole look-and-feel altogether. Case in point, Chief Wiggum without a sprinkle donut in his hand just looks wrong.
