Superheroes Immortalized in Ancient Egyptian Art

Hundreds of years have been dedicated to studying the art and science of hieroglyphics but to Josh Lane, this serious subject needs to be lightened up a bit. And what better way to do that than to infuse some superheroes and quasi-superheroes right into the mix. Lane doesn’t just limit himself to the cape crusaders of today as Captain Kirk and Spock makes their appearance on a slab along with the Avengers and Power Rangers. The art of hieroglyphics is not lost altogether as Lane made a conscious effort to position each character in the way that the Ancient Egyptians would have positioned, oh let’s say, Wolverine.
