The Beautiful and Haunting Ladies of Las Muertas

We’ve featured one of Tim Tadder’s more lighthearted work before but with ‘Las Muertas,’ the California-based commercial photographer dabbles into the realms of the underworld. The haunting photo series dedicated to the famous Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos features models covered in vibrant makeup and dramatic costumes that makes for an amazing contrast against the bleak, deserted background. Krisztianna, whose sculptures on Dia De Los Muertos inspired the collaboration, created the amazingly detailed headdresses and intricate face paintings for the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall theme of the project.
