The Faberge Big Egg Hunt Takes Over New York City
Finally, an Easter egg hunt just for grownups. The Faberge Big Egg Hunt debuted in London back in 2012 and this year, the event takes place in the five boroughs of New York City. The fundraising initiative features over 250 large egg sculptures each created by globally renowned artists, designers, and creatives such as Diane von Furstenberg, Jeff Koons, Tommy Hilfiger, Carolina Herrera, Cynthia Rowley, Naeem Khan, and Ralph Lauren to name a few. Anyone with a smartphone is encouraged to participate by downloading the Big Egg Hunt app where by signing in and locating an egg triggers the beacon installed in each one to send you an alert and information about who designed the particular egg. Checking in also enters the participant in the running to win 1 of 3 Faberge precious gemstone pendants retailing between 30k to 50k. The Faberge Big Egg Hunt will culminate with a much anticipated auction of the collectible egg sculptures held by Sotheby’s and online via Paddle8 and will benefit both Elephant Family and Studio in a School charities.
