The Magical World of the Humble Snail

Vyacheslav Mishchenko draws inspiration from his early experiences in childhood to capture breathtaking macro photographs of the humble snail. As a child, the Ukrainian photographer was often asked by his father to gather mushrooms outside which helped him develop a keen eye for spotting all sorts of creatures. The results are enthralling images giving the viewer a spectacular look into the world of the shelled molluscs that is nothing short of magical. Perhaps the most fascinating part of the images is how each miniature snail seems to be performing human-like actions such as sharing a kiss, smelling a flower, helping a fellow snail along, and our personal favorite, the tiny guy holding an upturned dandelion umbrella.
