The Sydney Opera House Like We’ve Never Seen It Before

One of the most iconic modern structures of our time becomes the site of a global project as part of the Vivid LIVE music and light festival in Sydney running through June 8. Universal Everything creates a tribute to animation as part of a collaborative effort involving works from 20 different studios around the world. Twenty-two animators were given a blank canvas and 30 seconds to come up with images for the project while it took another 4 months for the design firm to compile the playfully imaginative Living Mural. From the abstract to the geometric, the projection light show brings a psychedelic spin to the distinctive vaulted shells of the Sydney Opera House.
