These Statues Embody the Best of the Old West

Sculptor John Lopez makes sculptures from scrap metal with an Old West flair. The South Dakotan uses old cast aside farm equipment to craft statues in the form of American West icons like bison, horses and longhorn cattle. Originally a bronze sculptor, Lopez got into sculpting with recycled metal after he made a family grave for a deceased aunt using scrap metal.
