Mashups are the best thing ever next to sliced bread and those involving rap rhymes top our list of godsends such as Max Siedentopf‘s ‘Tiles of Wisdom.’ The Amsterdam-based artist created a mashup of old and new with a series of 9 15×15 tiles decorated with a traditional white and blue pattern often displayed with a wise proverb or perhaps a lovely poem except that this time, they’re outfitted with something less appropriate. Always putting a clever spin on the mundane, Siedentopf opted for street wisdom with rhymes from the likes of non other than ‪Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, and Lil Jon among others. With hooks from ‘Anaconda’ and ‘Bubble Butt,’ what hip-hop connoisseur wouldn’t appreciate these lovely ceramics?
