What a Piece of the Ocean Would Look Like in Your Livingroom

Part furniture and part art, this mesmerizing coffee table looks like a piece of the ocean just landed square in your living room. Romanian artist Eduard Locota constructs the delMare Table using white marble and blue-green acrylic glass, a material known to be the most transparent known to man. Balancing on 3 legs instead of four, one would think the table could tip at any time but with a low center of gravity and the fact that acrylic glass can absorb 7 times more impact than regular glass, the delMare is not only aesthetically pleasing but quite sturdy as well. Only 35 limited editions were created so for those who opt to stare at the abyss sans oxygen tank, this is the next best thing.
