What Daydreams Are Made Of

Cerise Doucede sets up scenes where everything slowly floats away as people get lost in their thoughts in the art installation ‘Egarements’ or ‘aberration.’ The French photographer provides a fantastical interpretation of what happens to the rest of the world when someone is lost in contemplation. The distant looks in the subject’s eyes with the slew of suspended objects surrounding them creates a surreal and dreamlike visual nary the special effects. According to the French photographer, “The subject of dreams has always interested me, notably moments of ramblings, drifting in and out of thoughts, and distractions. I often find it amusing to imagine what people on the street are thinking about.”
