What Houses Look Like Inside Our Dreams

Matthias Jung combine a bit of whimsy and a touch of magic in the series ‘Surreal Houses.’ The German-based graphic designer refers to his collection as ‘architectural short poems’ and constructs each imagined structure from pieces of collected images from his travels to make the off-the-wall collages. Using Photoshop, Jung creates each architecturally impossible house as a way to explore and challenge the reality of space we’re used to. From herds of sheep grazing on the roof to one completely hovering off the ground, the dream-like houses combined with their natural surroundings evoke a dream-like quality.
