Canon‘s recent ad shows what sets professional photographers apart and likens their obsession over the minutest details to their new top of the line photo printer. Taking 3 subjects, including commercial photographer Joel Grimes, and using eye-tracking technology on them as they survey a photo printed using the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, the difference in the results of their eye movements are quite amazing. Although it’s no surprise that trained photographers have a specialized skillset including poring over details others might gloss over, this video lays everything out in plain sight and offers an enlightening perspective on what makes photographers a special breed.
