A Tribute to the Dark Side at the 66th Sapporo Snow Festival
Japanese army troops pay homage to the greatest sci-fi movie of all time by building “Snow Star Wars” for the 66th Sapporo Snow Festival in Sapporo, northern Japan. The event runs from February 5 to 11 and is expected to draw more than 2.4 million visitors throughout the week. Featuring over 200 snow and ice sculptures displayed at three venues including Odori Park, the amount of snow transported for the festival is equivalent to 6.5 five-ton trucks.
