Beautiful Flying Net Sculptures

Janet Echelman uses giant nets illuminated in the sky to create beautiful and gigantic aerial sculptures. Originally inspired by Mahabalipuram fishing nets while on a Fulbright Scholarship in the 1990s, Echelman has dedicated her career to creating massive net sculptures around the world. She’s currently seeking funding for a700-foot-long sculpture in Vancouver.
