Children’s Artwork Turned Into Figurines

Bernat Cuni turns children’s imagination into tangible figurines with the aid of modern technology. His light bulb moment came when his daughter brought him her drawing and asked if he can turn it into a toy with his 3d printer. The joy his daughter expressed in being able to hold in her hands something she drew on paper and the positive feedback he received from others gave him the idea to launch CrayonCreatures.com. Recreating a doodle involves digital modeling, 3d printing using a gypsum-based powder called Sandstone, painted with the same ink found in inkjet printers, and sealed with cyanoacrylate.
