Fictional Elgin Park Models Show Sampling of Americana

In his carefully constructed dioramas, professional model maker Michael Paul Smith creates the fictional world of Elgin Park—an American town in the 1950s. He uses miniature models of cars and backgrounds and forced perspective to photograph the creations. The images look authentic; until Smith throws back the curtain and shows you the models he used to imagine the idyllic small town.
