Glow in the Dark Bicycle Path Displays Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’

Apart from the kilometer-long winding road through a wooded park area, The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Bicycle Path isn’t your typical bike path. Located in the Dutch province of Noord Brabant, where Vincent Van Gogh was born and raised, Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde used swirling patterns from the famous artist’s masterpiece ‘Starry Night’ to design a path that combines nature, light, and art as the first of its kind. Nearby solar panels supply power to the specially coated road while LED lights can be found on certain curves to supply extra light especially during times when the day hasn’t been exactly sunny. Blue-green luminous stones underfoot will turn any night magical for walkers and bikers alike at this glow-in-the-dark cycle path.
