Gorgeous Vessels Carved from Pencils Take the Lead

Take a closer look at the intricate detailing of these stunning wooden vases and you will find that they are actually constructed from pencils. Created at studio Markunpoika in Australia, the designers have incorporated the hexagonal shapes, gluing them at each facet to form a solid block which is then carved to reveal the inner lead. The carbon infused masterpieces are part of a series called “Amalgamated.”
