Jamie Homeister Paints Beasts and Birds Upon Delicate Feathers

It’s a technique that requires patience and the most delicate of touches and Indiana-based folk artist Jamie Homeister has perfected what she calls “an incredibly humbling media.” She paints animals such as foxes, bears and birds of prey upon feathers, a process that Homeister says is no easier than painting on blades of grass, but it’s a challenge that “is an honorable one.”
