Musical Artists Star in Vintage Ads

David Redon creates a mashup of old and new by putting musicians in their very own vintage-inspired ads in the series Ads Libitum. It takes the Paris-based art director up to 2 hours to retouch the perfect ad which could involve anything from modifying the layout, creating a logo, adding in song lyrics, and of course, adding in the musical artist. The colorful graphics sets the perfect stage for the musical creatives whose song titles and hooks become the perfect tagline for each retro poster. We find Outkast’s ‘So Fresh, So Clean’ ad for a beauty bath soap especially clever.
