Nissan’s Intelligent Chairs Park Themselves Back With a Single Clap
Navigating around Lost HQ can sometimes feel like a maze because just like any cube farm, people just forget to tuck their office chairs back to their rightful place. In comes Nissan’s practical yet so revolutionary idea of Intelligent Chairs. Borrowing the self-parking and cleaning feature of the Roomba and the clapping mechanism of The Clapper, these self-cleaning chairs move themselves back under the table at the sound of a single clap. Alas, anything that is too good to be true probably is. The video is Nissan‘s way of promoting their intelligent parking assist technology. As for the chairs, they were modified Okamura chairs tracked by four motion-sensitive cameras positioned around the room and controlled via Wi-Fi. Bummer.
