Rock House, The Pierre, is Flush with Nature

Located in San Juan, The Pierre, by Olson Kundig Architects, is constructed with raw materials, including the envelope stone, the green roof and the surrounding foliage. Pieces of rock were excavated to set the house deep into its rock site, but rock still extrudes throughout the space and contrasts with the modern lines. Excavated rock was also reused as aggregate in the concrete floor.
