Russia’s 1,800-foot-long Sochi Skypark Bridge

Don’t count out Russia for breathtaking views. The Sochi Skypark Bridge—the world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge—opened last summer, and boasts amazing mountain and river views above a 650-foot gorge. Designed to withstand a 9-magnitude earthquake with 3,000 people on it, the designers didn’t take any shortcuts.
