Snarkitecture Builds a ‘Beach’ in the Middle of Washington D.C.

Snarkitecture creates a rendition of what summer is all about minus the pesky sand and the unbearable heat. Aptly named ‘The Beach,’ the art/architecture group brings the interactive installation into the Great Hall of The National Building Museum (NBM) in Washington D.C. for their take on the perfect embodiment of our favorite season. Featuring 750,000 recyclable plastic balls contained in a massive 10,000 sq. ft ball pit, the experience is complete with beach chairs and umbrellas along the makeshift shoreline to create a one-of-a-kind beach experience. The installation runs through September 7 and tickets can be purchased from NBM’s admissions page.
