Strong is the New Pretty Shows the Truth About Little Girls

In the new series ‘Strong is the New Pretty,’ Kate T. Parker reaffirms that little girls are much more than sugar, spice, and everything nice. The Atlanta-based photographer captures her daughters Ella, age 9, and Alice, age 6 taking part in sports and physical activities proving once again that today’s young girls are no longer sitting on the sidelines. Parker herself is an established athlete so with a message like “be strong, be yourself, be honest and celebrate who you are,” the mother of 2 hopes to instill the valuable lesson of never letting their gender dictate their interests.
