Sun, Sand, and Art in Sydney
Sun, sand, and art collide in the annual outdoor sculpture exhibition that takes over a mile stretch of Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach in Australia. Uninhibited by the limited real estate of a boxy building, over 100 sculptures are featured in the largest outdoor gallery in Australia made by artists from 16 countries. This year marks the 18th run of Sculpture by the Sea and it gets better every time. From the quirky giant frying pan titled “We’re fryin’ out here” by Andrew Harkin to the lone, black rhino called “Gift of the Rhinoceros” by Mikaela Castledine, the exhibition adds an element of art appreciation to the typical day at the beach. The exhibition is currently on display until November 9.
