This Wand Boils Water Like Magic

Denmark designers Nils Chudy and Jasmina Grase brings innovation to a kitchen staple by updating the standard electric kettle to be more efficient and eco-friendly. With Miito, the base unit plugs in to a standard electrical outlet and through electromagnetic induction, heats up the metal rod placed in the vessel to be heated. The metal rod contains a flat base on one end suitable for setting it in place and a plastic coated tip used for holding on the other end. By placing the liquid to be warmed in a single serve cup, less electricity is spent on heating water that may go unused, thus killing two birds with one stone.
