Women Wearing Armor Made from Unusual Materials

In her latest series, Armures, Swiss photographer Marie Rime showcases women wearing vibrant and detailed costumes that are made from everyday objects. Many of the costumes look like elaborate armor from different cultures and periods, though it’s unclear which. It’s also notable that the women’s faces are covered. Rime explains, “The underlying theme of my photographs is a reflection on power and its representation, seduction and ambiguity.”
