Animator Dad Puts Toddler in His Very Own Action Flicks

Daniel Hashimoto may just be the ideal dad for little boys who envision themselves starring in their very own action movie during playtime. The LA-based Dreamworks animator added special effects to home videos of his son James playing and titled it “Action Movie Kid.” The idea for the project came to Hashimoto one day when he saw James pretending to be Iron Man blasting everything around in the room. The short clips fulfill the fantasies of many young boys and men alike such as wielding a real light saber, making things explode, and shooting their very own grappling gun. Just like any other YouTube sensations, he never realized his videos would become so popular and further says “”It’s humbling and I’m excited that a little hobby I have is enjoyable to other people.”
